Merry Pleated Christmas

December 26, 2016

So good to be home for Christmas.

Merry Christmas to you peps!! May God bless us all from now on, to infinity and beyond. I had this amazing feeling since i am able to go home for Christmas!! I spent my last 2 Christmas in Shanghai and just going to school, doing homeworks, exams, and other projects that needed to be collected. This year, it was not different with the projects, just that i get to do it from here and thankful enough for the 2 weeks holiday!

I've been wanting to wear this gorgeous metallic pleated skirt for ages!! And i found the perfect time to wear this, to the church on Christmas! Oh and i changed my hair color! I bet you guys notice it, but probably the color is just not really obvious here, so you can go to my instagram profile here to check the color!

Since ordinary red is just a little bit to common, and i've always had this thing with burgundy kind of red, and i decided to bought this skirt. (And i bought another color in green - stay tune for the next post). After went to church i just went home and do a movie marathon.

Literally, movie marathon. I was excited with American Horror Story recently and other thriller, horror movies, yet i don't know why where the movies i should be watching for Christmas edition is mostly like family movies such as Home Alone.

I am wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and hope all you have the 2017's wishlist and goals planned properly throughout the months <3 p="">

One Gloomy Morning - Echo Cafe Tianzifang

December 1, 2016

DECEMBER  : The month of joy, happiness and to finish what you started.

Well, this is also an oblique translation to finish all the assignments for the semester. One final project, one business plan with the add-ons from every single lesson. Time is literally the most precious thing here, and i am trying to manage my time to be as productive as possible, not forget to mention all the sleepless night that i will be going through :'). Nevertheless, no worries!!! Here in the very beginning of December i will share to you a very comfy cozy and feels-like-home cafe around Tianzifang.

You can find it as Echo Cafe. There are lots of places for Echo Cafe, but the one in Tianzifang is just opened recently and then so why not we give it a try??? It is located in some tiny alley, where all the shops in Tianzifang look like. And it has 4 level with different decorations on each level, yet they are still in the same theme of trying to make you feel cozy and the songs they played were pretty awesome. And did i mention super fast wifi here???

My favorite spot was in the third floor where they have the balcony outside, but too bad it was kind of raining-drizzling time, so that i could not take photos outside, just to give you some insights, there will be a photo where i was trying to look happily candid and avoiding the raindrops at the same time. We picked the perfect time, Tuesday morning around 11 am. It seemed like we were the first customer to arrive (well it is true) and then there was these group of ladies coming around 1 ish.

So the perks of coming in a weekdays morning is :
  • Got the whole freaking place to your own.
It was like doing a rental. So you could do whatever the things you wished to do such as moving the placement of the chair. Yeap, that's what we did, apparently. Even they have cameras, the staffs were super friendly and they just let us do what we wanted to do :p
  • No other groups that will disturb you, or the other way around.
Since we were taking photos in every decent angle that we could, we did not have to bother other people who were sitting in a super nice spot, and to borrow the spot just to take photos. Nay for me.

  • You can just chill, kill time.
After the hectic time to go and explore these 4-level cafe, it's possible to just chill, and you could also sleep here, i suppose.

  • And the toilet, is super clean, and comfy.
Well, i am not joking when i said comfy, because there is the warm seated thing on the side and your can like play with it :D

So yeah, that's all about for now, and see you real soon! I'm going out of town tomorrow, can you guess where will it be ?? Clue : It's out of Shanghai.

See you in the next post!

Down below are the photos that were taken by my lovely partner, Ocha, please enjoy :)

Classic Trenchcoat x Plaid Scarf

November 24, 2016

Winter has finally hit us

It's starting to get super cold in Shanghai. The best thing to do is just to bundle yourself up with a super thick blanket, a cup of hot chocolate and movies to accompany your day. Yet the truth said otherwise. You need to get up very early in the morning, get ready for class and just use the thickest outfit to survive Shanghai's wind. Great thing about winter is, you can be creative with the outfit, keep layering and layering, still look stylish.

While we were going to the metro, the impressive alley around Tianzifang, and decided to take photos here!! The old street of Tianzifang reminds me of a place near my home back in Jakarta. In this frame, i did not seem to be in China, but its more like European-style alley, don't you think??

Turtleneck is my best friend now, since the wind is crazy, and you don't want to feel like freezing all the time. I just bought the turtleneck from taobao when its 11.11 (for you guys who lives in China knows exactly what i mean) the fabric is quite warm, soft and they have numerous colors. I bought three different colors for the turtleneck.

As for my trenchcoat, i bought it from Pull&Bear last year and i did not have the chance to wear it until now. That's just my style, buying lots of outfits in hoping to wear it these days, but it ended up piling up in my wardrobe and just discover the things that i never wear the next season. Probably you still can find the similar trenchcoat as this one, just check to the store and explore..

I am feeling kind of excited when my scarf arrived! Yeap bought it online from Stradivarius and its like 49 RMB (thank's to 11.11 effect). I'm loving every bit of the color, the pattern and the length on how its just perfect, but the drawback was that the fabric is easy to pill so you need to treat it super careful. This is like my first plaid scarf where i only own just basic plain color.

Then my favorite accessories nowadays is the silver necklace from Forever21. Love at first sight, i know that i have to own this necklace immediately. The ways it falls perfectly and give the special accents to your plain black shirt is just beautiful. The rest of backpack, and shoes are from taobao. I shopped a lot on 11.11 plus it was my first time shopping from taobao. I realized how easy and dangerous it is to click and then suddenly you have your things arrived the next day. God Bless Me :)

What do you think of the overall looks, guys?? Perhaps you could tell me about your opinion, and wait for the next post inside a super cool and homey cafe in Tianzifang!

See you next post ;)

BYF Couture

November 6, 2016

BYF Couture VIP Fashion Show was spectacular

In October 22, i was honored to attend the BYF Couture VIP Fashion Show, thanks to my lecturer, Diana Derval for the free ticket. She personally asked me to be her representative in the show since she could not be there and i was beyond excitement to come to the show. The show took place at a very decent place called the Gallery, Hongkou District. Interior of the place looks massive and very asthetic. It starts at 8 pm with the free flow snacks, cakes, wines, champagne and some other cuisines, free consulation for accesories and perfume booth, then continued with the fashion show at 9 pm sharp.

When i got the invitation, the dresscode was all about evening dress. At that time i was like "Nooo, i don't have any" , so that i rushed to shops trying to find the evening dress that suits me, but unfortunately there were not exactly what i would like. Did not have much choice, i picked this green dress from Monki, and decided to pair it up with my Forever21 black mullet, white blazer and also being my coat at that time. Plus, a green fury clutch with a cute keychain if you could notice ;).

Simon, who was the mastermind behind all these beautiful and gorgeous collection was welcoming all the guests, as he stood in front of the main door to take photos with each of us. He was super friendly, nice and really helpful! All of the collection were evening gown-inspired, using a lot of satin, laces, velvet and the show was called Casta Diva. I just can't wait to tell you that my favorite piece was the red sparkling dress! It falls perfectly beautiful and i have a thing with low cuts back. Overall, the sillhouettes were amazing, the details, the make up, the sleek up do hair, and not to mention other aspects.

Well, i guess with no further explanation, let's just get straight to the photos, shall we???

Yeap, my favorite!
