Summer Weather At W Shanghai

Gorgeous Shanghai Skyline Over The Pool

Before i went back to Shanghai last July, i kind of went around and find some awesome places to visit too, and recently W - The Bund Hotel is really hype! Especially for their gorgeous view to the greatest skyline building i've ever seen. I bet you'll get a very perfect view over these tall buildings. I would recommend you guys to visit but the choices of food were kind of limited, i assumed its because they're new and probably still experimenting all the suitable taste for our pallette.

It was kind of a super hot day, and i think i had the wrong choice of using long pants, but thanks to the light material of this green pants and one of my go to write shirt with black stripes pattern that vertically and horizontally printed on. And its more comfortable to use long pants when you're catching flights in the evening. Then just pair them with your favorite accessories and we're ready to go. Any kind of sunglasses, your favorite clutch or even something bigger if you need to bring other stuff in your bag. Also, it's good to bring some pair of flats with you, so you can always be prepared. If you're tired with the heels, always can change it, no big deal. And faster to use flats when you want to catch subways.

I would really love to come back here again, do some sun bathing, swimming and even try other menus that they offer. i must say the atmosphere there is really awesome, good for a brunch with friends, and brunch is nothing without cocktails, right? The bar have some pretty awesome choices of drinks too. Just make sure that you are going for the right day, and make sure its not raining, cause you don't want to miss the view covered by some huge grey clouds, do you?

Outfit description is on the bottom as usual ; )

Double Stripes in Columbia Circle Pool

ONE OF THE HOTTEST PLACE TO VISIT IN SHANGHAI

Hello guys! Finally i'm writing again in August and i am really glad that i am here in Jakarta for summer holiday but i just still need to review some of the amazing spots in Shanghai that you should definitely check and it's called Columbia Circle. It's actually located not far from the place i lived, which is pretty convenient for me to go there by foot. The address is West Yanan Road 1262 (延安西路1262号). It's pretty easy to find when its located just in front of the main streets, and you wouldn't miss the enormous sign of Columbia Circle.

To tell you the truth, this Columbia Circle is a mix of small shops, restaurants, co-working spaces, exhibition center, and cool pedestrian streets when you can walk your stress away. Plus, they have this gorgeous pool but too bad that we couldn't really swim here. The surrounding of this pool are small cafes, restaurant and some pop up shops selling unique merchandise, which they displayed in a very interactive ways. I saw one shop with this bathroom decoration and it felt like i was inside a gorgeous yellow bathroom. It gives me this summer Moroccan vibes whenever i see these kind of architecture, the buildings are surrounding the pool which explains why it's quite hot inside when no aircon is possible to be displayed. But, there were some electric fans that would definitely help to cool down the summer heat.

Heading over to what i wear, i matched my long stripes pants with stripes navy blue outer as well. And white classic crop with triangle accent on the middle. The thing about summer in Shanghai that time was mid day could be as hot as 41 degrees and the wind will start blowing at 7 pm. Since i was planning to go out until dark, bringing one outer to avoid getting sick seems like a good option to take. Then, one accessories that i'm always wearing is this gorgeous red sandals i got from Bershka. I love how slim the top of the sandals and the rectangle-curved shape for in the front. Moreover, i love red, which is why it gives perfect pop of color that i love! Please scroll to find more exciting photos and tell me what you think !

PS : description of outfit will be listed at then end as usual

Little Venice & Paris in Shanghai

July 20, 2018
This is a photo about Starbuck in little venice and Paris in Shanghai from www.sidneyscarlett.com by Sidney Scarlett

Summer in Venice, Paris, or Shanghai?
Hello people! It's officially summer and i got exactly one week to spend here in Shanghai before i'm heading back for holiday. Time really passed by quickly, and suddenly people are leaving to continue their journey, but i am still here in Shanghai and not ready to leave just yet. Few weeks ago, we went to find a Starbuck nearby school, i thought it was just an ordinary Starbucks, but actually the architecture is quite awesome as they appeared like Musee Du Louvre. That awesome pyramid glass building which is a museum, but it became Starbucks in China. The place itself was quite cosy and also it has a great amount of sunlight that came in because of the building, but it seems like ordinary Starbucks inside.

Kind of bored and curious to explore around the area, we went just beside this Starbucks building and discovered a very pretty spot which is exactly like Venice! It seems very European and thank god there was not many people inside because it was a Monday, and i assumed people were working, but anyhow i really love the place! The little lake is very clear and pretty, i wish i could go there and swim but its not possible. We were not planning to go there and that's why my outfit is super simple and not prepared. Just a red shirt with "Pardon My French" writing from Uniqlo, skort from Zara and my all time favorite sandals from Forever21! But at least the surroundings are very pretty! And did you take a closer look at my hair? i kinda cut it short just because the ends are very bad. But i'm planning to cut it again for real though, i can't wait to share with you guys!

I would definitely go back there just to go to the Starbuck and chill, and even chill around the lake. For you who are really curious about the place, its located in 118 广场,地铁13号线真北路站。 (Line 13 ZhenBei Road ) It just located near the metro so you can go by metro and see this triangular-shaped building and you know you're there! I guess i'm done here and see you in the next post with another new place. Can anyone guess???

Funtastico by Jaime Hayon in Shanghai

June 27, 2018

Playful, Unique and Colourful Day

What's great about living in Shanghai? You get to visit loads of museums with loads of interesting exhibition as this one. My friend told me about this place and i directly search where is this exhibition taken place. It's located in China Modern Glass Museum near Yangpu District. This exhibition is called Funtastico by Jaime Hayon, a spanish designer known to create such unique, eccentric and playful art pieces. This chess board is my favourite from anything else. Since i am having a special thing in my heart for monochrome art pieces. Other art pieces such as green giant chicken, hotdog chair, cactuses, and the monochrome masks looked very intriguing, unfortunately i didn't have quite complete photos, but you can go directly to his website to see all of the masterpieces here

Besides the chess and all of the unique art pieces, there are some amazing glass sculptures that were also exhibited in the museum. I'll write as clear as i can about the description for each photos down below so it's clear what the stories are about. Speaking of stories, the story of how i ended up here when i should have been doing anything else is  just because i've been dying to enjoy by myself these kind of exhibition. And the love of uniqueness, playful, colourful and fun exhibition is just in my heart and i can't really ignore it. This particular day was raining really hard so it is also a clever decision to stay in Jaime Hayon's exhibition rather than going out and being splashed by rain.

Since i've been planning from the morning to go to an exhibition, i chose something very casual and yet colourful. A plain t shirt from Pull & Bear that i got back in Jakarta was one of my best white shirt that i bought! Why? because i love the simpleness it has on the front, just only saying one sentence of "The Concept Of Love", and it kind of explains the sentence itself on the back, where it's a very neat paragraph and you can read it clearly. Probably you can't really see the front side of the shirt, but at least i wrote it on the description :). For the bottom, i chose a brick-coloured mini skirt from Forever 21 with buttons details on the front, and i really love this material. Since it's very suitable for hot weather like this.

For accessories, i took my Marc Jacobs black leather backpack to put all of the school necessities such as my chinese books, stationery, water to keep me hydrated, then some girls stuff such as hand sanitiser and all of these lip product that girls should bring more than 3 because even 3 sometimes are not enough, (Agree?) Then my favourite earrings from Stop & Stare , chic and gives the extra look to my simple outfit.  Now what are you waiting for? Let's dig in and get ready to feast your eyes by these gorgeous exhibition :D
