SPRING WARDROBE CHALLENGE : GINGHAM PIECE

It's mid May already and i just couldn't believe time flies super fast!! I've been pretty busy for internship lately, and not forgetting to mention i have to do this final project for my last year and a little bit helping here and there. But finally i managed to take another OOTD photos!!
Another idea comes from www.whowhatwear.com about this 30 Ways To Upgrade Your Style This Spring, as you probably know i did around 15 challenges for the previous winter challenge here

These days, i am just admiring lots of dresses, and skirts as the weather is pretty nice and windy and awesome. Definitely perfect for a swing with your dearest skirts. Aside from giving you this sweet and classy look, a skirt could actually be a life-saver to look better, especially if you are having the coolest skirt trends. In this case, let's try this gingham ruffled skirt.

This gingham skirt piece is such a perfect pair for an office look! Of course to pair this with a plain shirt, and some black gold heels that will create this formal look. Apart from the heels, some sparkle of silver accessories would really bring this whole outfit to the next level. Silver ring, simple line bracelet, pearl straight earrings, and this cool aviator that i've been obsessed with lately. I just adore the shape of this frame and the actual glasses itself. It gives a cool yet edgy touch on whoever's wearing it.

Another thing that i love from the skirt was it allows you to style the skirt yourself. Because actually it is a wrapped skirt, meaning you can wrap it around your waist and decided whether you would put the ruffled side on the left or on the right, even on the back! This time, i made the ribbon on the left side, as to align the ruffled edges and i think it turned out pretty cute.

Plus, i am using my favorite shirt from H&M, since it's super thin and i just fell in love with the color all over again, it perfectly suits for sunny days like this. But one of the drawback was it's just super easy to crumple, which is annoying when you wanted to take perfect shot of photos like this. But however, i am glad i have this.

It's just another part of my #WWWspring30 challenge and see you guys next time !!

PS : details are shown below at the end in the photos !

Spring Come Faster

HUGE PROJECT IS COMING

Hello and welcome back !!

It's been a week MIA for me even in instagram, well for sure i had a great excuse for that. Apart from trying to focus more my time on my blog, i decided to do something big along with my friends. But before getting into that, why don't we take a look at today's outfit, shall we?

At this moment, what i did quite wrong was to wear this thin layer of trench coat, hoping the fact that i will be finished by evening running errands and doing work outside home, but the truth is, the wind could not lie when it keeps blowing towards you.

Down here are few extra thing that i think would be quite useful to look stylish and of course, keeping yourself in the body temperature :
  • My favorite and number 1 winter - transition outfit it definitely this turtleneck. Because you can really find the difference when your neck is covered vs. when it's not.

  • Try to keep wearing scarf, even if its thin, because in some region the weather could be a little bit unpredictable. e.g : Shanghai

  • Sunnies. I literally spent too much over very interesting shape and unique sunnies. Wait until you see my full sunnies collection. This time, i will keep it simple black because my skirt has the attention already

  • To add and spice things up, a subtle accessories collection will perfect the minimalist - European vibe style and

  • That favorite shade lipstick of yours. To give that extra kick to your outfit!

And to give you guys heads up , the huge project is launching this FRIDAY !!
Stay tune and wait for more exciting info about the project !!

Ombre Clutch With Pastel Turtleneck

Day 16 - Ombre Clutch With Pastel Turtleneck

Spring is almost here! Since i am officially not having class till my graduation this mid year, i decided to do some challenge for myself. Few days ago while i was on www.whowhatwear.com to read some fashion news, this article about 30 Tiny Ways to Dramatically Improve Your Look Now just caught my attention and i decided to join in! Well actually i am not gonna follow 100% of the style from day 1 till 30, yet i will do the challenge randomly, include all the key items and probably change something accordingly. Here is my day 16 look!

What is the most exciting part about spring? Strolling in the park, where flowers are blooming and perfect time when you can do thin layers with your outfit. Unfortunately, Shanghai is still chilly all the way. The weather is unpredictable, sometimes it's 17 degrees in the afternoon, then it could be 2 degrees in the evening.

In this post, i am re-creating this pastel turtleneck with the super-long oversized black coat that i got online and i also wear this in the post : Bundle Up Style. The article shows in styling turtleneck with button down shirt, but this time, i was thinking to have something a little bit more playful in color. So, ombre clutch it is.

However, it is kind of off-topic but i decided to dye my hair again! I was thinking to go purple-ash-brown again like the last color i have. But, i also have my pink and soft purple color that i still have not touch yet, which makes me in a dilemma for hair color. A little help for advice here? hehehe

What do you think guys?? Join me for #WWWwinter30 challenge and let's inspire one another!!

See you guys tomorrow with new challenge and head over down to peek some details!

Overknee Boots x Dress

Day 15 - Overknee Boots x Dress

Hey guys! Here is my day 15 look!

At this point, Shanghai is starting to embrace the sun with bearable wind, which is perfect for a dress and some suede overknee boots. I've been wanting to wear this dress since the first time i bought it on Chinese New Year. Where everything was literally on sale. I even got 12 kind of blouses, t shirt, dresses and 3 kind of shoes for only around $55. Crazy, isn't it??? That was one of the perks of staying over in Shanghai during Chinese New Year.

To go along with the theme, i paired this daring black dress with my dear vintage suede overknee boots. Some tips about styling overknee boots with dress is just to play it natural and monochrome is always a good idea. And showing a little bit of your legs will give that extra twist.  It's been 3 years since i had this and probably i should find another pair of overknee boots. Because i just loveee it. That day, we were around Xintiandi area, and just taking random snapshots over the time.

Cashmere scarf is one of my must-wear winter items, everywhere i go, i tried to have at least a scarf, no matter if it's cashmere, cotton, as long as it covers my neck. However, when i am on my turtleneck, i do not really wear scarf because i feel the coverage was enough and i don't really like to struggle over the time, unless the day will be really really cold. And i got this dearest clear sunglasses online with such a mouthwatering price. Can you guess???

Bundle Up Style

Day 14 - Bundle Up Style

Hey guys! Here is my day 14 look!

This time, the wind was blowing like crazy, thank god the sun was shining and it kind of neutralized the wind effect. I was prepared that day so bundling up myself would do the trick! I had my new coat that i did not get the chance to wear (as usual) regarding the fact that spring is coming. The coat size was L and it was a little bit too big for me. On the bright side, i get to layer and layer my outfit as many as i feel like.

I did only one thick sweater with this color-blocking effect, where as the both sides of left and right has the different tones. The sweater was warm enough and this cashmere grey scarf was the perfect pair of my plaid skirt. Because you need something to cover up your neck and it helped a lot on being warm for these windy days.

What i love about this oversized and super long coat is that it covered my legs since i wore only thin leggings underneath. Plus, the coat is multi-purpose as i used it also for base when i sat on the grass. The result was to clean all the dry grass that stucked on my coat. However, it was a fine and great day.

What do you think guys?? Join me with the #WWWwinter30 challenge and let's inspire one another!!

See you guys tomorrow with new challenge and head over down to peek some details!

Sidney

Sheer Blouse x Bricks

Day 13 - Sheer Blouse x Metallic

Hey guys! Here is my day 13 look!

To look simple, stylish and effortless are the key to today's challenge. However, this sheer blouse is definitely thin to wear in the winter. This is a more warm climate outfit, yet you can always layer up  with cardigan, coat, scarf, and there you have winter look.

I doubled the sheer blouse  with black top just to hide the transparency and hoping that i could get a little bit warmer in it, yet i leave some parts around the lower part transparent. Another detail that i like about this is the small little collar-tie accessories that is built in and you can play with it according to your style.

Also, this last-summer "it" sunglasses is making a come back for winter, since i love the rose gold color too much.  Then, i would like to tell you this is my current favorite boots, the black boots with silver plating on both back sides. And what is interesting too was that it cost me less than $25 to get the boots when it was the crazy sale in China for 11.11.

What do you think guys?? Join me with the #WWWwinter30 challenge and let's inspire one another!!

See you guys tomorrow with new challenge and head over down to peek some details!
